His career includes significant international business development, having lived and worked in Cairo, Egypt; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Dubai, UAE; Tokyo, Japan; and Vancouver, Canada. Having grown up in Idaho, Reed brought his family back to this area so they could experience all that our great state has to offer.
Improving Idaho’s Education
Taking an active role in promoting choice in Idaho's education, Reed was a founder of North Star Public Charter School and the first vice-chairman of the board. He and Gayann continue to encourage a parent’s right to choose public education options that best fit their children.
Reed has been a leader for the State of Idaho in developing programs that would pay educators for excellence in teaching. He strongly believes that one of the keys to improving our education system is holding students and teachers accountable for results and rewarding those teachers and schools that excel.
The DeMordaunt family loves the Idaho outdoors and Reed is committed to protecting this resource for today and future Idahoans. Whether it is spending time on the ranch that has been in the family for generations, or backpacking in the Idaho Wilderness, Reed knows that these experiences offer our families the best way to connect.
